Fern Gully Jamaica

Driving through the rolling hills of St. Ann Jamaica, towards or from Kingston, you will come up on this lush green paradise of fern. Fern gully is an oasis of nature to the city dweller. It connects the tourist town of Ocho Rios to Kingston. As its name suggests it meanders down (or up) a hill side covered in fern. It has long been a facination of Jamaicans and tourists alike. With its popularity with the tourist some crafty Jamaicans have setup shop to sell their wares along the way. 

If you do happen to visit Ocho Rios make sure you stop and check out what the Jamaican craft world might have to offer. Oh…and remember to keep an open mind. Those toilet paper holders can be a shock to the unsuspecting traveller.
