Jake’s Hotel located in Treasure Beach Jamaica is one of the Caribbean’s most romantic hideaways. Its an earthy, rustic and sensual luxury boutique hotel nestled on a romantic cliff side setting. This Jamaica hotel was named after the family’s pet parrot and designed with inspiration from Moroccan, Indian and Adobe influences as well as the work of Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi.
The property boasts beach front, various fruit trees, private niches all in a local Jamaican setting. It’s like a family run hotel and they make sure you feel at home. They have rooms, suites and cottages with artistic decorations with an open living environment invoking a sense of being one with nature. Close by are great attractions like the Pelican Bar, YS Falls and make sure you check out the Black River Safari (search these terms here).
Important to note is that Jakes Hotel is not a big five star Jamaica resort. It is not for everyone. It is best to read the reviews and manage your expectations about the Jakes Hotel. In my years of dealing with travellers I have come to understand that their are those who enjoy modern luxury with white glove service and others (regular folks and well to do alike) who like that rustic local feel. To the latter Jake’s would be paradise. It allows you to immerse yourself into the Jamaican atmosphere. Treasure Beach and its sorroundings are local fishing villages and this local vibe gives the location a bit of its personality. So do enjoy…Irie!
